Enables phospholipase D activity and protein kinase C binding activity. Involved in several processes, including positive regulation of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase signaling; regulation of vesicle-mediated transport; and response to hydrogen peroxide. Located in several cellular components, including caveola; lamellipodium; and sarcolemma. Biomarker of congestive heart failure and visual epilepsy. Orthologous to human PLD2 (phospholipase D2).
