Acts upstream of or within locomotory behavior and visual perception. Located in glutamatergic synapse and synaptic membrane. Part of AMPA glutamate receptor complex. Is extrinsic component of synaptic membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; eye; and orbito-sphenoid. Orthologous to human OLFM2 (olfactomedin 2).
