Acts upstream of or within entrainment of circadian clock; regulation of neuron migration; and visual perception. Part of transcription regulator complex. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; genitourinary system; limb segment; and thymus. Orthologous to human SOX14 (SRY-box transcription factor 14).
