Tmprss15 - transmembrane protease, serine 15

This gene encodes an enzyme that proteolytically activates the pancreatic proenzyme trypsinogen, converting it into trypsin. The encoded protein is cleaved into two chains that form a heterodimer linked by a disulfide bond.
