Enables lipid transfer activity. Acts upstream of or within flagellated sperm motility and vitamin E biosynthetic process. Located in extracellular space. Is expressed in dental placode; humerus cartilage condensation; oral epithelium; and tooth epithelium. Used to study dry eye syndrome. Orthologous to human PLTP (phospholipid transfer protein).
