Acts upstream of or within several processes, including glycogen catabolic process; glycolytic process through glucose-6-phosphate; and positive regulation of insulin secretion. Located in cytosol and sperm principal piece. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; cardiovascular system; central nervous system; genitourinary system; and musculoskeletal system.
