Enables protein serine/threonine kinase activity. Involved in several processes, including regulation of insulin secretion involved in cellular response to glucose stimulus; secretion by cell; and spermatogenesis. Colocalizes with synaptic vesicle. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; genitourinary system; immune system; liver; and nervous system. Orthologous to human CDK16 (cyclin dependent kinase 16).
