Involved in microtubule anchoring and negative regulation of neurogenesis. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including microtubule anchoring at centrosome; nervous system development; and neuronal stem cell population maintenance. Located in apical part of cell; cytoplasm; and microtubule organizing center. Colocalizes with centrosome. Is expressed in brain; cardiac muscle tissue; and cerebral cortex ventricular layer.
