Acts upstream of or within cellular response to organic cyclic compound and dendritic spine development. Located in postsynaptic density. Is active in glutamatergic synapse. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; gonad; liver; lung; and retina. Used to study non-syndromic X-linked intellectual disability 30. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in non-syndromic X-linked intellectual disability 30. Orthologous to human PAK3 (p21 (RAC1) activated kinase 3).
