Enables enzyme regulator activity and molecular adaptor activity. Involved in cilium assembly and smoothened signaling pathway. Acts upstream of or within regulation of L-glutamate import across plasma membrane and regulation of protein localization. Located in several cellular components, including cell surface; ciliary membrane; and ciliary transition zone. Part of septin complex.
