Enables G protein-coupled serotonin receptor activity; GTPase activator activity; and serotonin binding activity. Involved in several processes, including ERK1 and ERK2 cascade; cellular response to temperature stimulus; and protein kinase C-activating G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway. Acts upstream of or within heart development. Located in cytoplasm and plasma membrane. Part of G protein-coupled serotonin receptor complex. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; embryo mesenchyme; reproductive system; and sensory organ. Used to study hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Orthologous to human HTR2B (5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 2B). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Apr 2022]
