Involved in several processes, including glycerophospholipid metabolic process; plasma lipoprotein particle assembly; and positive regulation of lipid transport. Acts upstream of or within regulation of plasma lipoprotein particle levels. Located in endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; endocrine gland; hemolymphoid system; and liver.
