Involved in several processes, including heart development; negative regulation of cell death; and positive regulation of macromolecule metabolic process. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including animal organ development; embryonic morphogenesis; and regulation of gene expression. Located in chromatin and nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including early conceptus; embryo mesenchyme; gut; heart; and reproductive system. Used to study atrial heart septal defect 2 and congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
