Acts upstream of or within several processes, including hair follicle development; nervous system development; and post-anal tail morphogenesis. Located in several cellular components, including apical plasma membrane; filopodium tip; and lateral plasma membrane. Colocalizes with presynaptic active zone. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; genitourinary system; integumental system; and sensory organ. Used to study hydrocephalus.
