Acts upstream of or within bone mineralization and skeletal system morphogenesis. Located in plasma membrane. Colocalizes with actin cytoskeleton and ruffle membrane. Is expressed in 2-cell stage embryo; blastocyst; nervous system; and neural ectoderm. Orthologous to human FGR (FGR proto-oncogene, Src family tyrosine kinase).
