Involved in several processes, including cellular response to retinoic acid; positive regulation of biosynthetic process; and protein stabilization. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including animal organ development; cellular response to hepatocyte growth factor stimulus; and cellular response to leukemia inhibitory factor. Located in chromatin and nucleus. Part of ATF4-CREB1 transcription factor complex. Is expressed in several structures, including genitourinary system; limb; maxillary process; peripheral nervous system ganglion; and telencephalon.
