Enables C-C chemokine binding activity and C-C chemokine receptor activity. Involved in negative regulation of macrophage apoptotic process. Acts upstream of or within defense response. Located in external side of plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; brain; hemolymphoid system gland; liver and biliary system; and reproductive system. Used to study Coronavirus infectious disease. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including Kawasaki disease; West Nile fever; autoimmune disease (multiple); berylliosis; and sarcoidosis (multiple).
