Chrd - chordin

Enables heparin binding activity and syndecan binding activity. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including gastrulation; negative regulation of BMP signaling pathway; and negative regulation of osteoblast differentiation. Located in extracellular space. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; branchial arch; central nervous system; genitourinary system; and skeletal system.
