Located in several cellular components, including apical plasma membrane; endoplasmic reticulum; and neuronal cell body. Is expressed in heart; labyrinthine zone; liver; nervous system; and sensory organ. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in autosomal recessive nonsyndromic deafness 12.
