Located in membrane. Is expressed in central nervous system; early conceptus; oocyte; and retina. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including artery disease (multiple); arthritis (multiple); dilated cardiomyopathy 1H; obesity; and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
