Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; heart; limb; musculature; and trunk somite. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy and dilated cardiomyopathy 1AA. Orthologous to human ACTN2 (actinin alpha 2).
