Pericoronitis, also known as operculitis, is related to gingivitis and necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis. An important gene associated with Pericoronitis is BMP8A (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 8a), and among its related pathways/superpathways are PAK Pathway and NF-KappaB Family Pathway.
