Osteoarthritis (OA)

Osteoarthritis, also known as osteoarthrosis, is related to cartilage disease and arthropathy, and has symptoms including arthralgia, back pain and metatarsalgia. An important gene associated with Osteoarthritis is GAS5 (Growth Arrest Specific 5), and among its related pathways/superpathways are ECM proteoglycans and Extracellular matrix organization. The drugs Magnesium sulfate and Acetylcholine have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include Cartilage, Bone and bone marrow, and related phenotype is limbs/digits/tail.
