Nelson Syndrome

Nelson Syndrome, also known as nelson's syndrome, is related to central diabetes insipidus and diabetes insipidus. An important gene associated with Nelson Syndrome is POMC (Proopiomelanocortin), and among its related pathways/superpathways are Signal Transduction and Transcriptional Regulation by MECP2. The drugs Pasireotide and Adrenocorticotropic Hormone have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include pituitary and skin, and related phenotypes are adrenocorticotropic hormone excess and secondary hypercortisolism
