Myotonia

Myotonia is related to myotonia, potassium-aggravated and batten-turner congenital myopathy. An important gene associated with Myotonia is CLCN1 (Chloride Voltage-Gated Channel 1), and among its related pathways/superpathways are Neuropathic Pain-Signaling in Dorsal Horn Neurons and Cardiac conduction. The drugs Mexiletine and Lamotrigine have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include skeletal muscle and heart, and related phenotype is muscle.
