Hypoparathyroidism

Hypoparathyroidism, also known as deficiency of parathyroid hormone, is related to hypoparathyroidism-retardation-dysmorphism syndrome and hypoparathyroidism, x-linked. An important gene associated with Hypoparathyroidism is GCM2 (Glial Cells Missing Transcription Factor 2), and among its related pathways/superpathways are Signal Transduction and Endochondral ossification with skeletal dysplasias. The drugs Betamethasone and Sodium citrate have been mentioned in the context of this disorder.
