Gastric Dilatation, also known as stomach dilatation, is related to volvulus of midgut and megaesophagus. An important gene associated with Gastric Dilatation is ATP12A (ATPase H+/K+ Transporting Non-Gastric Alpha2 Subunit), and among its related pathways/superpathways are Sphingolipid metabolism and Gamma carboxylation, hypusinylation, hydroxylation, and arylsulfatase activation. The drugs Fennel and Papain have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include spinal cord and adrenal cortex.
