Carrion's Disease

Carrion's Disease, also known as oroya fever, is related to cat-scratch disease and bartonellosis. An important gene associated with Carrion's Disease is HSPD1 (Heat Shock Protein Family D (Hsp60) Member 1), and among its related pathways/superpathways is glycolysis (BioCyc). The drugs Prednisone and Azithromycin have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include endothelial and skin.
