Calciphylaxis

Calciphylaxis is related to hyperparathyroidism and calcinosis. An important gene associated with Calciphylaxis is FGF23 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 23), and among its related pathways/superpathways are Regulation of Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF) transport and uptake by Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Proteins (IGFBPs) and Ca, cAMP and Lipid Signaling. The drugs Magnesium citrate and Sodium citrate have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include skin and kidney, and related phenotypes are skin ulcer and cellulitis
