Bullous Pemphigoid

Bullous Pemphigoid, also known as senile dermatitis herpetiformis, is related to dermatitis herpetiformis and hypereosinophilic syndrome. An important gene associated with Bullous Pemphigoid is HLA-DQB1 (Major Histocompatibility Complex, Class II, DQ Beta 1), and among its related pathways/superpathways are Signal Transduction and ERK Signaling. The drugs Prednisone and Omalizumab have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include skin and salivary gland, and related phenotypes are diabetes mellitus and autoimmunity
