Adrenomyeloneuropathy

Adrenomyeloneuropathy, also known as adrenoleukodystrophy, is related to adrenoleukodystrophy and premature ovarian failure 7, and has symptoms including ataxia, muscle spasticity and seizures. An important gene associated with Adrenomyeloneuropathy is ABCD1 (ATP Binding Cassette Subfamily D Member 1), and among its related pathways/superpathways are Fatty acid metabolism and Peroxisomal lipid metabolism. The drugs Dopamine and Pramipexole have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include spinal cord and adrenal cortex, and related phenotypes are distal lower limb muscle weakness and distal sensory impairment
