Acromegaly

Acromegaly, also known as growth hormone-secreting pituitary adenoma, is related to pituitary adenoma 1, multiple types and pituitary gigantism. An important gene associated with Acromegaly is AIP (Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Interacting Protein), and among its related pathways/superpathways are GPCR downstream signalling and Signal Transduction. The drugs Somatostatin and Liraglutide have been mentioned in the context of this disorder. Affiliated tissues include pituitary and pancreas, and related phenotypes are hyperhidrosis and macroglossia
