The gene trap vector including the En2 intron and Beta-geo-SV40pA fell within intron 7 or 8 of the locus, depending on alternative splicing of exon 8. It was mapped to the middle of intron 7. Mutated CT45 ES cells containing this vector were used to generate mutant mice. (J:50092, J:96325)
